Our Opportunity
12-month contract
Work Location: Perth - Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.
Roster: Monday to Friday
An opportunity has arisen for a Principal - People and Culture, to partner with our Corporate and Shared Service functions. You will play a key role in driving People and Culture initiatives to deliver our People strategy and support the broader business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders to align people strategy with business objectives and enterprise priorities.
- Lead the design and delivery of key people initiatives, including leadership development, talent management, remuneration, workforce planning and engagement programs.
- Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management and risk mitigation.
- Support organisational change and transformation initiatives through effective communication and change management
- Analyse workforce data and employee insights to inform strategic decisions and drive improvements in engagement and retention.
- Collaborate across the broader People function to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
- Mentor and develop People & Culture Advisors, building capability and strengthening team performance.
- Champion a high-performance, inclusive culture aligned to Fortescue’s values.
Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Employee Relations or a related field
- Demonstrated work experience in a similar role within a large, complex and fast-paced organisation.
- Proven experience managing complex employee relations
- Strong expertise in organisational design, talent strategy, remuneration, and engagement.
- Demonstrated success partnering with senior leaders to translate business strategy into practical people initiatives.
- Experience leading and embedding change management initiatives
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, influencing and communication skills
