Our Opportunity

Location: Eliwana/Flying Fish, Pilbara region, Western Australia (90 km west of Tom Price), on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.

 

Roster: 7 days on, 7 nights on, 14 days off – FIFO from Perth and Busselton.

 

As a Tyre Technician at Fortescue's Eliwana mine, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient maintenance and repair of a range of large-scale mining equipment, with a focus on maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Your work will involve conducting critical inspections and repairs to keep our mining fleet running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • All aspects of tyre maintenance on heavy mobile equipment and light vehicles
  • Carrying out routine maintenance and inspections to the required standard of performance and safety
  • Work in accordance with Fortescue procedures and work instructions
  • Absolute commitment to safety and following site safety procedures.
  • Willingness to learn and be part of a team.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology (AUR2190) or equivalent - OTR essential 
  • Have a high regard to safety
  • Current Drivers License 
  • Previous Tyre Fitting experience, preferably in a mining environment
