Track Machine Operator- Advanced
Our Opportunity
Work Location: Port Hedland Port Operations- Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.
Roster: 14 days on / 14 days off- FIFO ex Perth
We are currently seeking experienced a Track Machine Operator (Advanced) to join our Rail Operations team in Port Hedland. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of advanced track machinery to support the maintenance and reliability of our rail network.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate advanced track machinery in accordance with site procedures and safety standards
- Conduct routine inspections, fault finding, and basic maintenance
- Support rail maintenance and infrastructure programs
- Work collaboratively within a high-performing team to achieve operational targets
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience operating advanced track machines (e.g. tampers, regulators, ballast cleaners or similar)
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Current C Class driver’s licence (essential)
- Relevant rail or plant operator certifications (desirable)
