Our Opportunity

Work Location: Eliwana - Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.

 

Roster: FIFO Monday – Thursday 4:3

 

Fortescue are seeking a dedicated and high performing, experienced Senior Business Support Officer. This role is site-based, full-time (Monday to Thursday) and is responsible for overseeing all administrative support across Eliwana, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timely support to the General Manager and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).  You will play a critical role in coordinating people, processes and systems to maintain high standards across reporting, logistics and workforce administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer comprehensive administrative support inclusive of SLT diary management, management of travel and logistics, expense reconciliation and ad hoc administration support
  • Manage complex documentation, coordinating high-level onsite meetings and visits, and preparing detailed reports.
    Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support business objectives.
  • Lead or contribute to projects aimed at improving business operations and processes.
  • Organise internal events, training sessions, and conferences
  • Assist in budget preparation, monitor expenditures, and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Act as the key liaison with other departments (i.e. People Operations for mobilisation, flights & accommodation, Office Management, Information Management - document control / SharePoint)
  • Purchasing Administrative tasks i.e. Purchase Order generation, Invoice reconciliation

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5+ years applicable administration experience.
  • SAP experience, advanced computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
  • High degree of confidentiality and sensibility
  • Positive attitude and calm under pressure, well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • ·Solutions focused and efficient, flexible and agile approach
  • Keen self- initiative and work ethic
