Work Location: Perth – Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people

 

 

Roster: Monday to Friday 

 

 

12-month fixed term or secondment

 

 

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and engaging high performing technical writer to join the Decarbonisation Portfolio Management Office. Reporting to the Manager Decarbonisation Readiness, this role is responsible for the creation of Standard Work Instructions, Task Lists, Procedures and any supporting documents required for operational readiness of new and existing green equipment, facilities and systems at operational sites. Attention to detail is a key requirement in this role, as is initiative and excellent communication skills with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Working with Decarbonisation and Green Product Delivery teams and other key stakeholders to produce high-quality documentation
  • Translating complex information into simple, accurate, and engaging content
  • Ensuring that the content meets the needs of the target audience
  • Utilising excellent skills in grammar and referencing
  • Providing effective and efficient reviews for content created by others, based on relevant style guides
  • Offering guidance and support in line with documentation best practices
  • Processing of documents in line with control process
  • Monitoring and reporting on status of documents.

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • High level of written and verbal communications skills
  • Current experience in the resource sector
  • Experience with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and PDF tools
  • Able to bring a flexible mindset, challenge traditional thinking and be prepared to work outside of their comfort zone
  • Disseminate technical information in easy-to-understand language for a non-technical audience
  • Ability to learn complex concepts quickly and validate the information with the document author
  • Ability to establish rapport and working relationships with a variety of personalities
  • Experience with Document Control processes.
