Work Location: Perth - Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people

 

Roster: Monday - Friday

 

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Senior Remuneration Advisor to join our Australian Remuneration and Benefits team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and delivering remuneration and benefits programs that support the attraction, retention and engagement of our people across a dynamic and evolving business.

 

Reporting within the People function, you will partner closely with HR teams and business leaders to provide expert remuneration advice, lead cyclical remuneration activities, support governance and compliance requirements, and contribute to the continuous improvement of reward practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert remuneration advice aligned with Fortescue’s remuneration framework, governance principles and market practices.
  • Support the design, administration and continuous improvement of annual incentive and retention programs.
  • Conduct remuneration benchmarking and market analysis to ensure competitive and equitable reward outcomes.
  • Manage and enhance employee benefits programs, including salary sacrifice, superannuation and employee discount offerings.
  • Lead and support annual remuneration review processes, including salary reviews, promotions and out-of-cycle remuneration assessments.
  • Conduct job evaluations and maintain job architecture frameworks to ensure internal equity and consistency.
  • Analyse remuneration and workforce data using SAP SuccessFactors and other HR systems to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Support regulatory reporting requirements, including WGEA and sustainability reporting.
  • Prepare remuneration analysis, insights and supporting documentation for Board and People & Remuneration Committee reporting.
  • Build strong relationships with leaders and HR stakeholders, providing education and guidance on remuneration philosophy and frameworks.
  • Coach and support remuneration advisors, HR teams, payroll and people services stakeholders as required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve remuneration processes, reporting, governance and employee experience.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience managing remuneration review cycles, incentive programs, market benchmarking and job evaluation frameworks within a medium to large organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of remuneration and benefits practices, compensation theory and reward design principles.
  • Advanced analytical capability with experience using HRIS platforms, preferably SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Excellent communication, consulting and influencing skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail, integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience within the mining, resources or energy sector will be highly regarded.
