We are currently seeking highly motivated Conveyor Maintenance Supervisors to join our Port Hedland Maintenance team. Reporting to the Superintendent – Maintenance Services, this position plays a critical role in maintaining safe, reliable and efficient performance of conveyor infrastructure across Hedland Operations, Anderson Point. You will lead and support your crew with maintenance strategies that maximise equipment availability, improve reliability, optimise costs and uphold the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion a strong safety culture through visible leadership and accountability.
- Lead and develop maintenance teams to drive performance, engagement, and capability.
- Maximise conveyor reliability and equipment availability through effective maintenance and continuous improvement.
- Plan, coordinate and execute conveyor maintenance activities, including major shutdowns, inspections and statutory compliance requirements.
- Manage contractor performance and maintenance resources to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Monitor maintenance performance, costs and work management processes to optimise productivity, reliability and budget outcomes.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering and planning stakeholders to prioritise work, minimise downtime and deliver sustainable asset improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Leadership experience in mining, minerals processing, bulk materials handling, or heavy industry maintenance.
- Proven ability to lead large maintenance teams and contractors in a continuous processing environment.
- Strong technical expertise in conveyor systems and associated equipment.
- Demonstrated success delivering major shutdowns, maintenance programs, and reliability improvements.
- Experience managing maintenance budgets, resources, and financial performance.
- Strong safety leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills, supported by a trade, engineering, or equivalent qualification.
