Our Opportunity
Location: Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: Monday-Friday - 12 month fixed term contract
It’s an exciting time to be a part of the Fortescue family and we are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Internal Communications professional to join our team to drive and deliver our internal communications and employee engagement strategy.
With a focus on delivering innovative and engaging communications for our teams around the world, you will act as a trusted and skilled business partner to major portfolios and teams in Perth and across our operations.
The role will cover many areas of communications, including developing bespoke strategies for new products, change initiatives and major projects, written and visual content creation and supporting overall business objectives through innovative ways to engage our teams.
We are seeking a dynamic communications professional with the ability to embed our unique culture and Values, develop trusted stakeholder relationships and drive strong employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Be a trusted advisor to key business partners, support leadership, provide guidance and develop and deliver strategic communications plans to support their objectives.
- Protect and support Fortescue’s unique culture through engagement opportunities that have impact.
- Provide guidance and support for crisis communications and incident management.
- Support events for internal and external activities.
- Ensure all content is underpinned by our Values and produced in line with global communications, brand and market disclosure guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience
- A strong background in a similar internal communications role, with experience or interest in media, multi-channel content creation, public relations and events.
- A bachelor’s degree in communications or related discipline/field such as public relations, digital communications or journalism is preferred.
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to translate complex business information into engaging, compelling and accessible content tailored to teams at all levels of the organisation and across a variety of channels.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
