Summary:

We are seeking an HV Electrical HME Supervisor – Test & Performance to support the testing, validation and early deployment of decarbonised Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME).

Reporting to the Superintendent – Test & Performance, this hands-on, trade-based role will apply strong high-voltage (HV) technical expertise to fault diagnosis, defect identification, testing and early life asset support. Working closely with maintenance, operations, engineering and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners, you will help validate asset performance and reliability while supporting the safe introduction of new technology into site operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead prototype and performance testing programs to validate capability, reliability and efficiency under operational conditions
  • Oversee early defect identification, analysis and rectification in collaboration with OEMs and maintenance teams
  • Manage telemetric verification to support accurate data capture and reliable performance reporting
  • Lead hypercare and performance reporting and maintain the troubleshooting playbook for issue resolution
  • Work with mining and maintenance teams to translate testing insights into practical reliability improvements
  • Partner with Asset Management to embed testing findings into asset lifecycle and maintenance strategies
  • Support fault diagnosis, testing activities and early life asset performance
  • Lead, coach and develop technical team members, promoting safety, accountability and continuous improvement
  • Ensure all activities are completed safely and align with operational risk and assurance frameworks

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Trade qualification as an HV Electrical HME Supervisor
  • Proven experience in prototype, reliability or performance testing within mining or heavy industry
  • Strong operational understanding of mining fleet use and mobile maintenance processes
  • Demonstrated frontline leadership experience within mobile maintenance or operations
  • Strong knowledge of high-risk work, operational safety and risk management frameworks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret telemetrics and performance data
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and cross-functional influencing skills
  • WHS Statutory Mining Supervisor course certification
  • Experience with OEM prototype validation or reliability improvement programs is desirable
  • Familiarity with battery-electric or autonomous vehicle technologies and exposure to decarbonisation or asset transition programs is desirable
