As Fortescue’s Energy Operations portfolio continues to expand, understanding the condition and performance of our critical assets is essential to maintaining safe, reliable and efficient power. As Asset Health Specialist, you’ll help build and embed the frameworks, monitoring strategies and data-driven insights that enable earlier identification of asset risks and smarter maintenance decisions.

Working under the direction of the Asset Performance Principal, you’ll help shape how asset health is monitored across a diverse and rapidly evolving portfolio spanning renewable generation, battery storage and high-voltage transmission infrastructure. You’ll bring together condition monitoring, asset data, reliability and maintenance strategy to establish consistent asset health processes and provide meaningful insights that support risk-based decision-making and long-term asset performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of asset health frameworks and monitoring standards aligned to asset class, criticality, risk and maintenance strategies.
• Assess existing asset health processes, condition monitoring coverage and data to identify gaps and prioritise improvements across critical assets.
• Support implementation of Asset Intellect, including integration with SAP asset registers, condition monitoring systems, health status definitions and data ownership.
• Establish clear asset health processes covering monitoring requirements, responsibilities, thresholds, review cycles, escalation criteria and reporting.
• Integrate asset health insights with reliability, maintenance strategy and defect elimination activities to support proactive, risk-based asset decisions.
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and technical stakeholders to improve condition monitoring practices and embed sustainable ways of working.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in asset health, asset integrity, reliability or maintenance process development within resources, utilities, power generation or another asset-intensive industry.
• Strong understanding of asset health, lifecycle asset management, criticality and risk-based condition monitoring principles.
• Experience reviewing and improving asset health processes, standards, governance frameworks or condition monitoring programs.
• Strong data and systems capability, ideally including SAP, Power BI, PI System Explorer, Snowflake or Asset Intellect.
• Strong analytical, process improvement and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across Operations, Maintenance and Engineering teams.
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Asset Management, Reliability Engineering or a related discipline, or a relevant trade qualification supported by significant industry experience.
