Fortescue is entering an exciting period of organisational transformation as we continue to strengthen our culture, leadership capability and ways of working. 

 

We are seeking an experienced Principal Organisational Development professional to join our Organisational Development team and lead initiatives that support meaningful change across the organisation. This role will work closely with executives, senior leaders and teams to understand organisational needs, identify opportunities for improvement and design practical interventions that strengthen culture, engagement and performance. 

 

The role combines strategic organisational development, executive coaching, culture and engagement insights, change leadership and high-level facilitation. The successful candidate will be confident working with complex organisational issues and translating data, research and employee insights into practical action. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide trusted organisational development advice to executives and senior leaders on culture, leadership, engagement and organisational effectiveness.  
  • Coach and support senior leaders to strengthen their leadership impact, self-awareness and ability to lead through change.  
  • Lead the consultation, design and implementation of strategic organisational change initiatives.  
  • Use employee experience, engagement and diversity and inclusion data to identify trends, risks, opportunities and organisational hotspots.  
  • Develop targeted interventions to address cultural, engagement or leadership hotspots and support sustainable improvement.  
  • Design and facilitate listening workshops, focus groups and consultation sessions across the organisation.  
  • Facilitate sensitive and complex conversations with confidence, including at executive and senior leadership levels.  
  • Partner with leaders and People teams to translate organisational insights into clear recommendations and practical actions.  
  • Support the development of culture and leadership strategies aligned with Fortescue’s purpose, values and business priorities.  
  • Monitor the effectiveness and impact of organisational development and change initiatives.  
  • Apply contemporary organisational psychology, behavioural science and change management principles to improve workplace experiences and outcomes.  
  • Use data analytics and reporting to support evidence-based decision-making.  
  • Build capability across the organisation by sharing insights, tools and approaches that support effective change and cultural development.  
  • Stay informed about emerging trends, including the application of artificial intelligence and technology in organisational development, employee experience and the future of work. 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated 5+ year's experience working with, and coaching, executives and senior leaders.   
  • Experience leading and implementing strategic organisational change initiatives.   
  • Strong experience consulting with stakeholders across a complex organisation.   
  • Experience designing and facilitating listening workshops, focus groups and organisational consultations.   
  • Experience working with employee experience, engagement, diversity and inclusion or organisational culture surveys.   
  • Confidence using technology and emerging AI tools to improve analysis, insights and organisational development practices.   
  • Tertiary qualifications in Organisational Psychology, Organisational Development, Human Resources, Behavioural Science, Change Management, Business or a related discipline.   
  • Significant experience in organisational development, organisational psychology, culture, employee experience or change management.   
  • A background in Organisational Psychology would be highly regarded.
