Our Opportunity

 

Roster: 7D/7N/14R – FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Broome, Karratha, Port Hedland, Fitzroy Crossing and Kununurra.

 

Cloudbreak is seeking an experienced Belt Technician to join our Fixed Plant Maintenance team. Working across the Ore Processing Facility, you will carry out conveyor belt maintenance, repairs and installations to support the safe and reliable operation of our processing assets.

 

This role suits someone who enjoys hands-on maintenance, working as part of a supportive team and taking pride in keeping critical conveyor systems operating safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Perform conveyor belt inspections, maintenance, repairs and replacements.
  • Complete belt splicing, joining and associated belt preparation activities.
  • Carry out maintenance on conveyor components including rollers, idlers and scrapers.
  • Identify belt damage, wear and potential failures and complete corrective work.
  • Support planned shutdowns, breakdowns and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Complete belt tracking and tensioning activities as required.
  • Work safely around conveyor systems and comply with isolation and permit requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety and quality across all work areas.

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Previous experience as a Belt Technician within mining, processing or heavy industry.
  • Experience with conveyor belt splicing, repairs and maintenance.
  • Sound knowledge of conveyor systems and associated components.
  • Experience working within fixed plant or mineral processing environments highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of isolation, stored energy and conveyor safety requirements.
  • Current Australian C Class Driver’s Licence.
