Role Purpose:
In this role you will support the planning, coordination and delivery of battery testing activities at Fortescue’s Banbury Test Operations site.
Working in a fast-paced and continuously evolving environment, you will coordinate closely with the Elysia teams who request testing, the Battery Test team, technical stakeholders, internal customers and suppliers to ensure that requirements are clearly understood, appropriately planned and delivered in line with agreed priorities, timelines and technical needs.
You will combine strong organisation and delivery skills with sufficient technical understanding to operate effectively within a battery testing environment, supporting both internal test programmes and the successful delivery of customer projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Work with the Elysia Battery Test team and internal test requestors to coordinate testing activities from initial request through to completion.
• Plan and manage the delivery of internal and customer battery testing projects, ensuring scope, timelines, resources and deliverables are clearly defined and maintained.
• Develop and maintain test plans, workflows, processes, schedules, priorities and delivery trackers, providing clear visibility of ongoing, planned and completed work.
• Coordinate equipment, laboratory capacity, technical resource and test readiness at the Banbury Test Operations site.
• Act as a key point of contact between test requestors, customers, technical teams, suppliers and other stakeholders throughout delivery.
• Track project risks, dependencies, delays and actions, escalating issues and supporting practical recovery plans where required.
• Support project costing, procurement, supplier coordination and the timely availability of equipment, fixtures, services and consumables.
• Maintain testing information, records and dashboards using Jira and other approved systems, while supporting improvements to testing processes, workflows and reporting.
• Support practical test preparation, setup and execution activities where required and within your level of competence.
Qualifications and Experience

• Degree, HNC, HND or equivalent experience in engineering, science, project delivery or another relevant technical discipline.
• At least 2 years experience working within a testing, laboratory, engineering, automotive, manufacturing or equivalent technical environment.
• Experience planning and coordinating technical activities or projects involving multiple stakeholders, priorities and delivery deadlines.
• Basic understanding of test preparation, technical equipment and practical test execution.
• Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage changing priorities and multiple concurrent activities in a fast-paced environment, and experience using planning or tracking tools such as Jira, Excel or similar systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including internal teams, customers and suppliers.
Beneficial:
• Experience in battery cell, module or pack testing.
• Practical test setup, rigging or instrumentation experience.
• Experience using battery cyclers, environmental chambers or laboratory equipment.
• Experience supporting the delivery of customer-facing engineering or testing projects.
• Experience coordinating suppliers, procurement, equipment servicing or calibration activities.
• Basic understanding of lithium-ion battery performance, degradation and safety.
