Our Opportunity

Work Location: Eliwana - Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.

This  position sits within our Process Plant and provides critical operational and maintenance support to ensure the safe and efficient daily running of large-scale fixed plant equipment at Eliwana. Reporting to the Supervisor, you will deliver high-quality mechanical maintenance that directly supports site safety, reliability, and production targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality mechanical maintenance across Ore Processing Facilities, including screens, conveyors, crushers, gear box and pumps.
  • Take on leading hand responsibilities as required, supporting team performance and continuous improvement.
  • Promote Zero Harm principles by conducting risk assessments and implementing effective hazard controls.
  • Complete planned and unplanned maintenance tasks safely, on schedule, and to a high standard.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and rectify mechanical faults within fixed plant equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance audits within required timeframes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification (essential).
  • Demonstrated experience in Fixed Plant maintenance, including crushing, screening, conveying, and pumping systems.
  • Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance systems such as SAP.
  • Strong communication skills with a passion for leading, mentoring, and driving high performance.
