Injury Prevention Specialist
Our Opportunity
Location: Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.
Roster: 8D6R
Reporting to the Health and Safety Superintendent, this 12-month fixed term role plays a key part in promoting a safe and healthy workplace. You will lead injury prevention initiatives, support site health programs, manage work-related injuries, and oversee Return to Work and Injury Management processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide personnel with advice on how to prevent injuries in the workplace. The role will focus on prevention of Musculoskeletal injuries, including but not limited to.
- Providing ergonomic assessments,
- Task and job analysis and education to prevent injuries,
- Other campaigns according to site demands.
- Provide assessment, diagnosis and Physiotherapy treatment services for work related injuries.
- Coordinate site Health and Hygiene initiatives.
- Overview and assist Nurses with site Return to Work and Injury Management processes.
- Coach all personnel in medical / primary care treatment and the promotion of health care to all personnel on site.
- Compiling injury statistic reports to HSES / site leadership team as required
- Responsible for maintaining an adequate and relevant physiotherapy stock inventory.
- Develop and deliver Health and Wellness Site initiatives
Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary Qualification in Physiotherapy (AHPRA Registered)
- Experience in Injury Prevention Coordination
- Understanding & experience in rehabilitation and return to work programs
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the mining / resource industry in a similar role
- Minimum 3 years Clinical Physiotherapy experience
- Computer competencies highly regarded including MS Office suite and SAP
