An opportunity has arisen for a Payroll & People Services Coordinator to join the People Team in an exciting work environment.

About the role

Provide support to the payroll team to manage all pay related activities received from the business.  Ensure the relevant actions are processed accurately and within monthly deadlines.  Assist in additional wider support and guidance to the business in delivering an efficient, consistent, and streamlined service across all employee lifecycle events.

What you will do

  • Process through iTrent a wide range of pay related activities received via various means including Success Factors, reports and shared inboxes.  This includes starters, leavers, promotions, and a wide range of ad-hoc payments received directly from the business.
  • Review monthly reports from the benefits provider to ensure all changes are completed within iTrent and the associated payroll is adjusted.
  • Assist in management of the payroll calculation spreadsheets to ensure an auditable trail of changes.
  • Work with the payroll team to check and monitor payroll activities each month to ensure a consistent approach and to provide payroll authorisers clarity on all changes.
  • Monitoring and processing of all workflows within Success Factors ensuring correct process is followed and data included is accurate. 
  • Collaborating with People Services Coordinator to ensure all Success Factors workflows are processed and any out of cycle pay related actions are completed within payroll deadlines.
  • Monitoring of the Payroll and People Services shared inboxes, allocating activities accordingly and responding in a timely manner.
  • Maintenance of employee data within the benefits system, responding to queries and escalating to benefits specialists when required.
  • Providing guidance and support to employees and managers around employee lifecycle events and people team operational processes ensuring compliance with employment regulations and company policies.
  • Supporting the wider People Team when required to deliver ad-hoc projects.

About you

  • Highly organised and self-motivated.  Able to manage numerous activities and a high workload to meet regular deadlines such as payroll. 
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal along with a can-do attitude and a willingness to see activities through to completion.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of data accuracy is essential due to the nature of activities and their impact on the workforce, systems and overall employee experience.
  • Level 3 CIPD qualification or above is preferred.  Experience working with a payroll team would be an advantage.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, in particular Excel, Word and Outlook is essential.  Knowledge of Success Factors/SAP would be an advantage.
  • A high degree of personal integrity and the ability to remain ethically professional is essential as the role involves access to confidential data where protection and discretion are paramount.
