An opportunity has arisen for a Plant Quality Technician to join the Quality department.
About the role
Conducting Quality activities in a Production Plant or Workshop environment. Working closely with Programme Management, Engineering, Manufacturing and the rest of Quality to control products we make and parts we receive, to ensure conformity to drawing and /or specification.
What you will do
- Main on-site point of contact for Quality to Manufacturing Operators for our Production Plant in Kidlington, working in a multi-shift pattern.
- Conduct in-process QCs and EOL signoffs, liaising with production operations, ensuring details of non-conformances are recorded with appropriate details.
- Analyse and escalate of high severity and repeated issues.
- Ensure non-conformances are quarantined and raise non-conformance reports.
- Control and manage the quarantined parts and progress through triage, making decisions on usage when appropriate with focus on the Quality of the final product.
- Report inspection and sign-off outcomes to relevant stakeholders in daily standups.
- Administer the calibration of production-relevant tooling.
- Report and monitor FOD (foreign object debris) and educate technicians in the reporting of FOD.

About you
- Experience in and passion for fast-pace, high-performance and success-driven environments, ideally Motorsports.
- Experience of working in a Quality role with live electrical components, HaV or other hazardous environments.
- Good communication skills and being a good team player.
- Experience in a Manufacturing / Production Plant Environment is required.
- Experience working with measurement instruments including hand-tools as well as digital measurement tools. Formal training in the above and knowledge of PC-DMIS is required.
- Ability to read and understand technical documents, drawings and specifications, including GD&T.
- Knowledge of quality systems such as ISO9001, IATF16949, VDA, AS9100 or similar is required.
- Experience in Problem Solving, NCR, 8D, Concessions and Internal Audits is required.
- Experience with liaising with customers on production related topics.
