An opportunity has arisen for a Reporting Lead to join the IT department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.
About the role
The Reporting Lead will be responsible for driving the consolidation, coordination, and delivery of weekly and monthly reporting across the product business — spanning both software and hardware portfolios, and business functional updates aligned to Fortescue KPIs and strategy. This role ensures that executive stakeholders and product leaders have timely, accurate, and insightful reporting to support data-driven decision-making.
What you will do
Reporting Cadence & Governance
- Collaborative with the strategy team, and key SLT members to establish and manage a consistent weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting cadence for the leadership cohort.
- Develop and maintain a structured reporting calendar, ensuring alignment with business review cycles and executive reporting timelines.
- Oversee the coordination and facilitation of regular reporting routines — including data collection, commentary collation, review sessions, and report validation.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Facilitation
- Lead cross-functional collaboration between product, finance, analytics, operations, and strategy teams to ensure reporting inputs are timely, accurate, and complete.
- Facilitate discussions and review sessions to synthesise key insights, risks, and actions from data and business commentary.
- Act as the primary liaison between data/reporting owners and senior stakeholders, ensuring clarity and accountability throughout the reporting process.
Reporting Coordination & Delivery
- Lead the end-to-end process for weekly and monthly reporting cycles across product lines.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all reporting deliverables.
- Consolidate inputs from multiple business, product, and functional teams into cohesive and executive-ready reports. Issue pre-read material to key stakeholders.
Demand Forecasting Process Management
- Coordinate the demand forecasting process, including reconciliation, audit and reporting in Worksavi application. Work closely with key stakeholders to provide plan verse actual data, define and implement process improvements.
- Ensure time sheeting process, and Actitime usage enables demand forecasting and reporting process.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner closely with product managers, finance, analytics, and operations teams to align reporting priorities and metrics.
- Coordinate with business owners responsible for data, metrics, and commentary to ensure relevant and accurate information is included in reporting packs.
- Act as the key point of contact and SME for executive and leadership reporting requests.
Insights & Continuous Improvement
- Interpret and communicate key business trends, risks, and opportunities through data-driven insights.
- Identify gaps and inconsistencies in existing reporting and drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and templates.
- Collaborate with analytics and improvement teams to evolve dashboards, visualisations, and automation for greater efficiency and insight depth.
- Work closely with data and reporting team for technical report and data maintenance, changes or extension delivery.
Governance & Data Integrity
- Maintain consistency and alignment of metrics definitions and reporting standards across the product suite. Ensure consistency with Group, ABD and Decarbonisation portfolio metrics and cadences where applicable.
- Ensure data governance practices are adhered to, and reporting outputs are compliant with internal quality standards
About you
- Experience in business reporting, analytics, or operations roles — ideally within a product, technology, or commercial business.
- Demonstrated experience leading routine reporting cadences for senior stakeholders and coordinating inputs from multiple stakeholders.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings, synthesize feedback, and align cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical and storytelling ability — able to translate complex data into meaningful business narratives.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting/visualisation tools.
- Previous experience working with data engineering, data architecture or reporting development positions.
- Familiarity with software and hardware product metrics is advantageous.
