An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join the Finance department.

About the role

The Senior Finance Business Partner provides high-quality financial insight and support to business leaders, helping drive performance and informed decision-making.

 

The role combines strong financial analysis with commercial understanding, supporting both day-to-day performance and forward-looking planning. Working closely with senior stakeholders, the position plays a key role in improving financial visibility, strengthening accountability, and supporting delivery of business objectives.

What you will do

Business Partnering

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to provide clear, actionable financial insights
  • Support decision-making by translating financial data into meaningful business recommendations
  • Build strong working relationships across functions to improve financial understanding and accountability

Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead the preparation of budgets and forecasts in collaboration with business stakeholders
  • Provide variance analysis and commentary, highlighting key risks and opportunities
  • Support ongoing improvements in forecasting accuracy and financial processes

Month End/Reporting

  • Deliver timely and accurate month-end reporting, including analysis of key drivers
  • Provide insight into business performance, focusing on trends and areas for improvement

Commercial Support

  • Contribute to financial evaluation of projects, contracts and business initiatives
  • Support business development activities
  • Assist with cost management and identification of efficiency opportunities

Governance & Controls

  • Ensure adherence to financial controls and processes
  • Support audit and statutory reporting requirements in collaboration with Finance & Accounting

About you

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a finance business partnering role
  • Strong financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting skills
  • Good commercial awareness and ability to link financials to business performance
  • Ability to communicate effectively with non-financial stakeholders
  • Proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail

 

 

Desirable:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent accountant qualification
  • Experience with D365 or other relevant systems.
