Aerodrome Reporting Officer
Our Opportunity
Location: Cloudbreak - Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples
Roster: 8 Days On / 6 Days Off (FIFO ex Perth) on a 12 month contract.
We’re seeking an experienced Aerodrome Reporting Officer to play a critical role in maintaining the safe, compliant and efficient operation of our aerodrome facilities. This is a hands-on position where no two days are the same — from aircraft ground handling to regulatory compliance and stakeholder engagement.
You’ll be at the centre of airside operations, ensuring every arrival and departure runs smoothly, safely and to the highest professional standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily aircraft ground handling operations, including ramp and check-in functions
- Ensure ongoing operational compliance with company, airline and CASA regulatory requirements
- Conduct daily aerodrome serviceability inspections in accordance with CASA MOS 139 and the Aerodrome Manual
- Complete fuel quality checks, wildlife hazard inspections, and maintain accurate reporting documentation
- Develop, implement and uphold Method of Works plans
- Maintain and clean aerodrome facilities to exceptional, audit-ready standards
- Deliver outstanding customer service to travelling passengers and airline crew
- Support additional site operational tasks outside of aerodrome activities when flight schedules permit
This role combines technical precision, safety leadership and frontline service — keeping both aircraft and people moving with confidence.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience as an Aerodrome Reporting Officer (or similar) within industry standards
- Current hands-on experience with ground handling of F100, B712, A320 and B738 aircraft
- Strong understanding of CASA MOS 139 requirements
- Demonstrated safety leadership and commitment to regulatory compliance
- High-level customer service skills and stakeholder engagement capability
- The ability to work independently, show initiative and manage competing priorities
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across varying levels of authority
- Advanced cleaning and facility maintenance standards with audit awareness
- Solid computer literacy across the MS Office suite
- High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
