Work Location: Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

 

Roster:  Monday to Friday

 

As Contracts & Procurement Senior Specialist, Mobile Equipment and Decarbonisation Execution, you will provide senior specialist procurement advice and leadership on Fortescue's Mobile Equipment and Decarb Execution category to assist stakeholders to plan, develop, source and manage contract arrangements to effectively meet business objectives.  

 

This role will also assist with category strategy development and implementation of strategic procurement activities supporting Fortescue’s mobile equipment categories. 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead contract management activities to maximise commercial value while minimising risk through robust processes, systems, and governance.

  • Manage and strengthen key supplier relationships to drive performance, value, and long-term partnerships.

  • Develop and deliver category strategies aligned to Fortescue’s business objectives, leading end-to-end strategic sourcing activities.

  • Lead complex, high-value and high-risk contract negotiations, applying strong commercial judgement and negotiation discipline.

  • Apply critical thinking to sourcing strategies, timelines, and procurement planning to improve outcomes across cost, schedule, quality, and efficiency.

  • Ensure effective governance, compliance, and risk management, including the identification, assessment, and mitigation of commercial risks.

  • Deliver insightful analysis and reporting across the procurement lifecycle, particularly relating to mobile equipment.

  • Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure procurement outcomes are aligned with business needs and opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Effectively self-manage with an ability to efficiently manage priorities.
  • Passion for decarbonisation and strategic procurement.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
  • Show a level of resilience to challenging circumstances.
  • Demonstrate how your experience to date will positively contribute to you being successful in this role and an understanding of procurement practices, governance, and processes
  • Qualification in Supply Chain, Business or Commerce is desirable.
