We are seeking a talented and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Mine Services dynamic team and play a vital role in powering the future of mining operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Anticipate & proactively resolve potential problems to ensure a zero-harm environment through design/ formulation of technical solutions.
  • Utilise Data Analysis/Machine Learning and Dashboards to assist with predictive maintenance.
  • Manage and deliver small to medium size projects.
  • Design and oversee the installation of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams incl. HME and AMM to integrate electrical components and systems, optimising performance and reliability.
  • Work closely with HV, Water Services and NPI supervisors to conduct thorough inspections and tests to identify and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime and maximising productivity.
  • Develop preventive maintenance programs and provide ongoing support to ensure the smooth operation of electrical systems.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance Mine services operational efficiency and safety.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer, ideally within OPF Fixed Plant, Mine Services and Power Generation and Distribution.
  • Previous electrician experience is desirable but not necessary.
  • Proven experience with leading root cause analysis investigations.
  • Previous experience with VSDs, Protection relays and Power system analysis, power transformers, LV & HV switch rooms, MCCs.
