Our Opportunity

Fortescue is seeking an advanced Electrician to join our CHF maintenance and operations team.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity where you will provide safe and effective leadership across maintenance and operational activities. You will lead by example, demonstrate Fortescue values and safe behaviours, and support the team to deliver reliable plant performance and production outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe and effective leadership across a combined maintenance and operations team.
- Demonstrate visible and positive leadership through safe behaviours and Fortescue values.
- Manage the effective utilisation of plant to support production targets.
- Lead teams in the field to complete maintenance activities safely and effectively.
- Provide support and input into maintenance planning processes to ensure scheduled tasks are achievable and support safe and efficient production.
- Ensure Electrical Statutory compliance.
Undertake Relief Supervisor duties as required
Qualifications and Experience
- WA Electrical Licence – essential.
- HV Switching Qualification and experience – essential.
- Experience working with ABB ASC1000 and ACS880 VSDs is highly desirable.
- Exposure to JORC filter belts is highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer proficiency across SAP and Microsoft Office suite.
- Previous leadership experience with the ability to engage and empower large teams, together with a demonstrated commitment to safety.
- Experience within Fixed Plant operations and maintenance in the mining industry, particularly wet plant equipment.
- Knowledge of the WA Mine Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations.
