Entry Mining and Blast Operator
Our Opportunity
Work Location: Solomon - Fortescue's Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster: 7D7N14R (Mining) and 8D6R (Blast) - FIFO ex Perth
Our Solomon operation currently has opportunities available for entry level Blast Crew and Mining Operators with the Road/Cable crew.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet daily production operational targets
- Maintain assets to operational capacity
- Continuously strive to increase process efficiency
- Comply with Zero Harm principles on a daily basis
- Demonstrate behaviour that aligns with Fortescue values
Qualifications and Experience
- Valid C Class Drivers Licence
- A strong focus on safety with the ability to learn new processes and systems
- The ability to work 12.5 hour shifts Fly In Fly Out on a remote mine site
- Transferrable skills in a similar role highly desirable
- The drive to work as a team player as well as autonomously
Next Steps
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an in-person Assessment Centre in Perth on 18th February 2026. Invitations to attend will be sent via email late January 2026.
Attendance at an Assessment Centre is required to be considered for these opportunities. If you are unable to attend, you will be added to the pool for the next available session.
