Our Opportunity
Location: Christmas Creek Mine, located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.
Roster: 7D/7N/14R – FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Broome, Karratha, Port Hedland, Fitzroy Crossing and Kununurra.
Fortescue is currently seeking an experienced Fixed Plant Mechanical Boilermaker to join our team at Christmas Creek. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and improving fixed plant mechanical equipment to safely deliver optimium availability and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage fixed plant maintenance activities in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner
- Support Fixed Plant Operations to meet current and future operational requirements
- Apply a continuous improvement and reliability-focused maintenance approach
- Perform fixed plant fabrication and mechanical works, including exposure to pumps, crushers, and associated equipment
- Promote and uphold Zero Harm principles, ensuring all work is risk assessed and hazards are effectively controlled
- Ensure all maintenance and repair work is completed to a high standard and within required timeframes
Qualifications and Experience
- Fabrication Trade Qualification (MEM30305)
- Construction White Card
- High Risk Work Licence (WP, FL, DG, RB) and Working at Heights – desirable
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Computer literacy, including MS Office; SAP experience highly regarded
