HV Electrician - Mobile Maintenance
Our Opportunity
Work Location: Christmas Creek - Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.
Roster: 8D/6R, 7N/7R - FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Broome, Karratha, Port Hedland, Fitzroy Crossing and Kununurra
Christmas Creek are seeking experienced Electricians to join the Mobile Maintenance team, responsible for delivering safe, high-quality electrical maintenance and repair services across the heavy mobile equipment (HME) fleet. In this role, you will diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, perform both HV and LV maintenance activities, and support planned and breakdown maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform HV/LV electrical maintenance on mobile mining equipment
- Ensure all work complies with site standards, legislation and procedures
- Conduct HV switching and fault finding on electrical systems
- Maintain statutory records in the electrical logbook
- Participate in toolbox and safety meetings to promote safe work practices
- Maintain vehicles, tools and equipment to company standards
- Follow SAP work management processes for maintenance tasks
- Support improvement initiatives to optimise fleet performance
Qualifications and Experience
- WA Electrical Grade A Licence
- High Voltage Switching certificate
- Experience maintaining HME electrical systems
- Strong HV/LV fault finding and distribution knowledge
- Previous experience in mining or heavy industry
- Experience using SAP and MS Office systems
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work safely in a high-performing team environment
