Our Opportunity

 

Work Location: Perth – Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people. Ad hoc site travel will be required.

 

 

Roster: Monday to Friday

 

 

Global Compliance Specialist is tasked with ensuring Energy Projects adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements across international jurisdictions where it constructs and operates.

 

 

This role requires identification and interpreting of Health and Safety obligations and duties within an international context. A critical part of this role includes liaising with in-country legal resources to assess the developed Safe systems of work meet the identified obligations and duties.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Support delivery of the Projects Health & Safety Strategic Plan, with a focus on risk and assurance outcomes
  • Develop and implement frameworks and processes to embed Group standard requirements within Projects
  • Provide flexible support to the Projects H&S team, responding to emerging risks, priorities and business needs as they arise
  • Adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-moving environment, effectively managing shifting priorities while maintaining focus on critical risk.

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Formal Health and Safety Qualifications (desirable)
  • Construction and Heavy Industry experience required minimum 5 to 8 years
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in similar roles
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Products
  • Experience developing and operationalising Health & Safety Management Systems, strengthening risk management and assurance through practical documentation, processes and controls embedded in operations.
  • Strong initiative, the ability to prioritise effectively, and the capacity to deliver high-quality outcomes without close supervision.
  • Agility and resilience, with the ability to pivot direction, manage ambiguity and maintain momentum in a changing operational environment.
