Our Opportunity
Work Location: Cloudbreak – Fortescue's Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.
Roster: 7D/7N/14R – FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Broome, Karratha, Port Hedland, Fitzroy Crossing and Kununurra.
Join our Cloudbreak Mobile Maintenance team as a Heavy Road Transport (HRT) Fitter, maintaining a diverse fleet of road transport and support equipment. You'll carry out planned and breakdown maintenance on prime movers, side tippers, buses and auxiliary equipment, ensuring safe, reliable operations while supporting Fortescue's future green fleet transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain heavy road transport and auxiliary equipment.
- Perform planned servicing and breakdown repairs.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
- Complete inspections and identify parts requirements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records in SAP.
- Support fleet reliability and continuous improvement.
- Champion Fortescue's safety culture and Values in Action.
Qualifications and Experience
- Australian recognised Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Trade.
- Experience on heavy road transport equipment.
- Experience with Scania, Isuzu or similar trucks.
- Knowledge of buses, side tippers and auxiliary equipment.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability.
- Current HR Class Driver's Licence.
- Forklift or HRWL desirable but not essential.
