Joining the Organisational Development (OD) team within Fortescue’s People function, this role plays a critical part in facilitating, coordinating, and enabling leadership programs that build capability across all levels of the business, from emerging leaders through to senior executives.

 

You will work closely with senior stakeholders and business partners to facilitate engaging, purpose-led learning experiences that align with Fortescue’s values, culture, and strategic priorities.

 

This is a dynamic, hands-on role that blends program facilitation, stakeholder partnership, and end-to-end coordination, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about enabling others to grow and succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate the design, delivery, and continuous evolution of Fortescue’s enterprise-wide leadership development strategy and programs, aligned to Fortescue’s values, culture, and strategic objectives.
  • Facilitate high-impact leadership experiences, including workshops, coaching engagements, and learning forums, that translate into measurable behavioural change and improved performance.
  • Enable and embed Organisational Development frameworks and interventions that strengthen leadership capability and build a sustainable, future-ready leadership pipeline.
  • Evaluate and continuously improve leadership initiatives using data-driven insights, participant feedback, and evidence-based methodologies.
  • Apply leadership capability and competency frameworks to diagnose development needs, inform talent and succession strategies, and support long-term workforce planning.
  • Curate and integrate leading-edge leadership and OD practices, leveraging global trends, digital tools, and innovative learning methodologies to enhance impact and relevance.
  • Champion a culture of learning, growth, and accountability, ensuring leadership development initiatives remain aligned with Fortescue’s evolving strategy and future capability requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Extensive experience (5 years +) in leadership development and specifically the facilitation of impactful programs, workshops and coaching.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Organisational Development, Organisational Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of contemporary OD principles, adult learning theory, and leadership capability frameworks.
  • Proven ability to influence, collaborate, and build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience in large, complex organisations, ideally within the resources, energy, or industrial sectors.
  • Highly developed analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to measure program effectiveness and drive improvement.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal capability, with a focus on credibility, clarity, and engagement at all organisational levels
