MD Specialist Technical Writer
Our Opportunity
Work Location: Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster: 4D3R - FIFO ex Perth
The MD Specialist Tech Writer will be the primary conduit between the Maintenance Teams and Document Control, creating new and updating all existing SWI’s utilising the useability format.
Working closely with all Maintenance and Engineering teams within the OPF space. Familiarisation with CMMS is a requirement of the role to facilitate the attachment of documents within. Completion of small master data tasks will be a secondary function of this role. This is purely a site-based role as scoping of assets to complete the document creation will be required. There will be requirements to work out of the Perth Office from time to time when site accommodation is constrained.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating and converting all existing SWI’s over to the useability format.
- Constantly working with Maintenance and Engineering teams to create suitable documents.
- Auditing all existing maintenance SWI’s.
- Completing all assigned Master Data within CMMS.
- Proven commitment to safety and zero harm.
Qualifications and Experience
- Mechanical/Electrical trade or Tertiary qualification.
- Familiarisation with Technical Writing Useability Mapping.
- Planning and Master Data experience highly regarded.
- Capacity to work autonomously.
- Ability to communicate effectively with various departments and positions.
