Mining Coordinator - Decarb HME Delivery

Work Location: Multiple sites, main being Christmas Creek and Eliwana
Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.
Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people
Roster: 4 Days / 3 Off Perth FIFO
Our Decarb HME Delivery team are seeking a suitably qualified, highly experienced Mining Coordinator. Reporting to the Superintendent – Test & Performance the role works closely with maintenance, operations, engineering, and OEM partners to support asset reliability, performance validation, and safe introduction of new HME technology into site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide input into mine planning processes to ensure practicality of HME test plans in active mining area.
- Provide visible Fortescue Values leadership (lead by example) modelling and compliance with Fortescue Code of Conduct behaviours.
- Provide and maintain safe systems of work in mining operational areas.
- Conduct thorough investigations into workplace incidents and provide effective feedback to work teams.
- Coach, mentor and develop personal in an small project team
- Manage short interval control process to drive Supervisor compliance to the mine plan.
- Ensure compliance with HR management policies and procedures (leave, injury management, performance, etc.)
Qualifications and Experience
- WA Class HR Driver's Licence
- Mine engineering degree or strong mine planning exposure
- 2 years supervision in large scale mining environment
- Ability to interpret and deliver to 24-hour and 2-week mine test plans for HME prototypes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office suite, SAP, BMS or similar data and reporting systems
- Knowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection and OHS Act/Regs
- Unrestricted Quarry Manager's Ticket (desired not essential)
- Completed Mod 6 training and the ability to operate in an AOZ
