Our Opportunity

 

Work Location: Fortescue’s Iron Bridge Project, on the traditional lands of the Nyamal People

 

Roster: 14D 7R  FIFO ex Perth or DIDO ex Port Hedland

 

Reporting to the Supervisor West Canning Basin, this role is responsible for supporting the long-term integrity and performance of plant assets through inspections, maintenance repairs, pipeline hygiene, and accurate reporting. The position works within a small, remote team and includes the repair and replacement of GRP pipelines in line with Fortescue and design standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct visual inspections and complete daily pipeline hygiene and maintenance routines.
  • Provide recommendations to improve asset reliability across the West Canning Basin.
  • Replace GRP pipelines and couplings within required timeframes.
  • Operate service trucks, support equipment, and machinery to facilitate operational activities.
  • Ensure all plant defects are captured and raised in SAP in accordance with Work Management processes.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to maintain safe and effective operations in a remote environment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3–5-year pipeline and drainage experience
  • 3–5-year civil construction experience
  • 3–5-year experience working in remote location (FIFO)
  • Experience operating machinery Excavators, Loaders, Truck,
  • HR Driver’s License  
  • Dogging Certification

 

Desirable

  • Certificate III in Civil Construction (Pipe Laying)
  • C2 Crane License 
  • Experience in GRP Pipeline work
  • Exposure to SAP and Microsoft Office
