Join the Accelerated Business Driver (ABD) team, where you will play a critical role in driving operational performance, cost discipline and value delivery across our Pilbara Operations and Supply Chain.

 

With a strong focus on operational drivers and cost transparency, you will partner with operational leaders, commercial and business improvement teams to identify, quantify and unlock sustainable value. This role will see you facilitating structured cost reduction and Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB) workshops, interrogating operational and financial datasets, conducting benchmarking analysis, and embedding performance monitoring routines to ensure measurable savings outcomes.

 

The ideal candidate is commercially astute, operationally grounded, and comfortable challenging cost baselines to drive sustainable performance uplift.

 

Reporting to the Manager – Accelerated Business Drivers.

Key Responsibilities

 

• Identify, quantify and establish monitoring mechanisms for key operational and cost drivers across Pilbara Operations and Supply Chain

• Develop driver-based performance frameworks linking operational activity to cost, productivity and financial outcomes

• Lead and facilitate structured cost reduction and Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB) workshops to challenge cost baselines and unlock savings

• Build, prioritise and track savings pipelines with clear accountability, governance and measurable benefit realisation

• Conduct internal and external benchmarking to identify performance gaps and embed best practice

• Lead cross-functional workstreams to accelerate and unlock major value levers across the business

• Partner with operational, commercial and business improvement teams to drive aligned, sustainable outcomes

• Analyse financial and non-financial datasets to extract actionable insights and support scenario modelling

• Support delivery of monthly ABD performance forums, including executive-level reporting and presentations focused on performance and value realisation

Qualifications and Experience

 

• 5+ years’ experience in Mining (operations, technical, improvement, commercial or finance)

• Demonstrated experience driving operational performance improvement and cost reduction initiatives

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate operational drivers into financial impact

• Advanced analytical capability with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills

• Self-starter with a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset and strong ownership of outcomes
