As Product Owner – HaulX, you’ll help build technology integral to the safe, efficient and reliable operation of our autonomous mining fleet, and our transition towards battery electric fleets. 

 

 

Working with operators, customers, engineers and product teams, you’ll turn real operational challenges into clear product priorities and practical solutions. Whether your experience comes from product, mining operations, engineering, technology or business analysis, if you bring strong operational insight, curiosity and an ability to connect people and ideas, we encourage you to apply. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Engage with operators, customers and stakeholders to truly understand your customer and your customers problems, opportunities and the experience of people using HaulX
  • Make informed prioritisation and trade-off decisions, clearly communicating the what and why behind product priorities, ensuring the customer is centered in every decision
  • Continuously shape and prioritise the HaulX product backlog, balancing customer needs, operational priorities, safety and business value
  • Translate operational problems and business needs into clear themes, epics, user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams
  • Partner with engineering, product, operations, verification and other specialists throughout the product lifecycle
  • Support the safe and successful introduction of new capabilities through release communication, documentation, training and operational readiness
  • Gather feedback and product performance insights to continuously improve usability, productivity and operational outcomes. 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Experience in product ownership, mining operations, fleet management, autonomous haulage, mining, business analysis, engineering or a related field
  • An understanding of mining operations and/or complex operational technology environments; experience with fleet management or autonomous systems will be highly regarded
  • Collaborate at every step, leverage your strong communication and relationship-building skills across operational, technical and leadership teams
  • Ability to understand customer problems and translate business or operational needs into clear, measurable, actionable priorities
  • Sound judgement and problem-solving skills, with an ability to balance competing needs and make evidence-based decisions
  • Product Owner or product lifecycle experience is valued but not essential where you can demonstrate relevant transferable capability
  • Familiarity with Agile ways of working and tools such as Jira or Confluence is advantageous.
