Our Opportunity

Roster: Monday to Friday
The Readiness and Compliance Lead will play a critical role in ensuring the complaint delivery and readiness of the Blacksmith project. This role drives the Project Readiness and Compliance workstreams required to enable project execution, interfacing with functional and project team members to ensure effective planning, resourcing and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure integration of approvals, tenure, land access and related compliance requirements into the project master schedule, ensuring alignment to business requirements
- Drive the planning and delivery of requirements under project governance and readiness frameworks
- Identify interfacing workstreams, driving schedule recovery where required to protect delivery timelines
- Establish and manage budget and FTE forecasts and cost commitments for project compliance activities, ensuring adequate resourcing, disciplined cost control and value outcomes
- Review approvals and access strategies and regulatory pathways and related conditions and obligations to ensure fit for purpose
- Identify the requirements for project supplied information to support functions, and ensure supply of that information as required
- Ensure all compliance requirements are clearly defined, planned and embedded into project scope, plans and work packages
- Identify, assess and actively manage readiness and compliance risks, ensuring timely escalation and effective mitigation to protect project certainty
- Maintain strong governance, compliance and reporting discipline, ensuring obligations are met and project leadership has clear visibility of readiness, risks and performance
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, law, engineering, environment or a similar field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the mining sector, demonstrating significant experience performing project management, risk management, approvals management and compliance within a project delivery environment.
- Proficiency using enterprise compliance management systems
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and standards
- Strong understanding of project controls, compliance and risk frameworks
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
