Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth

Fortescue are currently seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to join our team at Cloudbreak on a family friendly 8/6 roster. This role is responsible for providing reliability engineering support, data analysis, improvement projects, safety projects and defect elimination for the operational Ore Processing Facility (OPF), to enable sustained asset performance within the cost objectives.The Reliability Engineer is responsible for enhancing the reliability and performance of plant equipment through data analysis, technical expertise, and project management. This role involves developing maintenance strategies, supporting operational teams, and leading reliability projects in line with asset management standards. 

Key Responsibilities

• Review reliability strategies as well as the implementation of the strategies, to drive continual improvement of plant reliability and uptime.
• Analyse failures and implement changes to minimise the risk of reoccurrence.
• Running of the Defect Elimination process including cooperating with other departments and suppliers.
• Shutdown support to solve implementation issues.
• Identify cost saving initiative for OPEX reduction.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Mechanical Engineer
• Extensive experience in reliability engineering and asset management principles, particularly in the resource industry.
• Strong knowledge of asset management principles, reliability metrics and maintenance strategy management.
• Proven track record in managing technical projects.
• Working understanding of Condition Monitoring & Lubrication techniques
• A high level of planning, problem solving, organisational, scheduling and co-ordination skills.
• Knowledge of EAM, CMMS software including knowledge of SAP operation.
• Strong ability on computer-based programs such as MS office suite and Navisworks.
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management skills.
