Location: Perth – Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Fortescue is seeking an experienced SAP Consultant to join the SAP Application Solutions team within Fortescue Integrated Technology. This role will support and enhance Fortescue’s SAP HCM and SuccessFactors landscape, ensuring reliable and efficient delivery of HR and Payroll systems across the business.

The SAP Consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to provide operational support, drive system improvements, and contribute to project delivery across SuccessFactors Employee Central, Payroll, Learning, Recruitment, Onboarding, and broader SAP HR solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a large-scale enterprise environment supporting critical people systems that enable Fortescue’s operational and workforce success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide functional and technical support across SAP HCM and SuccessFactors modules including Employee Central, LMS, Recruitment, Onboarding, Performance, Compensation, and Talent Management
  • Monitor and support daily batch jobs and integrations across SAP ECC, SuccessFactors, IAS/IPS, and CPI platforms
  • Investigate and resolve HR and Payroll related incidents, service requests, and system issues
  • Configure and customise SAP HCM modules including Personnel Management, Time Management, and Organisational Management
  • Conduct testing activities including preparation, execution, and review of test scripts
  • Analyse SAP and SuccessFactors release updates and assess business impacts
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Payroll, People Services, Mobilisation, Training, Infrastructure, Security, and Service Desk teams
  • Liaise with external vendors and managed service providers to resolve technical issues and support system enhancements
  • Participate in SAP-related project initiatives including requirements gathering, solution design, implementation, and deployment
  • Contribute to continual improvement initiatives focused on system optimisation, automation, and user experience

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline
  • SuccessFactors Employee Central and/or Human Resources & Payroll certification required
  • Extensive experience supporting SAP HCM and SuccessFactors environments within complex enterprise organisations
  • Strong hands-on experience across SuccessFactors modules including:
    • Employee Central
    • Learning Management System (LMS)
    • Recruitment and Onboarding
    • Performance and Goals
    • Compensation
    • Succession and Talent Management
  • Experience configuring SAP IMG and supporting SAP HR customisations
  • Strong understanding of SAP lifecycle management and change processes
  • Demonstrated experience in incident management, troubleshooting, and production support
  • Knowledge of integrations, interfaces, and middleware technologies including IAS, IPS, and CPI
  • Working knowledge of SQL and JavaScript highly desirable
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams in a fast-paced operational environment
