Services Coordinator (Fixed Plant)
Our Opportunity
Work Location: Cloudbreak – located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples
Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Broome, Karratha, Port Hedland, Fitzroy Crossing and Kununurra
Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Superintendents, this position provides leadership and coordination across Crushing, Cranes, Belts and Scaffolding service teams. The role plays a critical part in driving planning excellence, fostering a strong safety culture and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the OPF.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to the Crushing, Cranes, Belts and Scaffolding teams
- Maintain a strong visible safety presence in the field, ensuring safe and sustainable execution of all tasks
- Lead weekly planning, scheduling and coordination activities to optimise team performance and plant reliability
- Develop and foster a high-performance culture aligned with Fortescue’s values and continuous improvement principles
- Collaborate with Operations, Planning and other stakeholders to maximise plant availability and reliability
- Support the development and execution of maintenance strategies for large-scale fixed plant assets
- Contribute to budget planning, forecasting and cost management for the responsible areas
- Drive problem-solving initiatives and implement practical solutions in a multi-discipline team environment
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory role within maintenance
- Proven experience in fixed plant maintenance, ideally within large-scale processing operations
- Strong understanding of production and maintenance strategies in a mining or heavy industrial environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-discipline teams and deliver outcomes in a team-based environment
- Experience with SAP and sound knowledge of Fortescue maintenance processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Trade qualification or extensive field-based maintenance experience highly regarded
- Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor appointment
