There is an exciting opportunity within the Asset & Material Management Systems team to join as a Shutdown Execution Coordinator. The position will take on a strategic role in supporting the centralised Area Leads team to ensure the smooth and effective execution of shutdowns. You will be responsible for overseeing coordination activities, managing complex schedules, and ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently. Your leadership will be crucial in driving continuous improvement and maintaining high standards across all shutdown operations.  

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate resources, manage schedule and ensure Fortescue fatigue management requirements are met 
  • Act as a key stakeholder in shutdown routines, included but not limited to SIMOPS, CRAW, Readiness, Post shut critic, Pre shut leadership kick off 
  • Provide support and guidance to Area Leads and future leaders, setting high standards for the shutdown leadership team and fostering a culture of excellence. 
  • Lead initiatives to minimise work front interactions and resolve conflicts, ensuring critical path/tasks are uninterrupted. 
  • Champion Fortescue’s safety focus and ensure adherence to quality standards for both safety and execution. 
  • Drive opportunities for cross-site Continuous Improvement Initiatives with contracting partners and site shutdown execution teams.  
  • Facilitate training for Area Lead to identify high-risk tasks and implement strategies to reduce their impact on the schedule. 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • 5+ years of experience within fixed plant shutdowns and/or maintenance environments, with a proven track record in a leadership role. 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across various levels, including the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely. 
  • Strong supervisory experience and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams towards achieving high standards. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and the environment is essential. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computerised maintenance management systems.
