Roster: 4D3R FIFO ex Perth

Reporting to the Manager Mining, the Superintendent Drill & Blast will lead the safe and efficient delivery of drilling and blasting across our Western Hub operations. This is a key leadership role, working closely with teams across Mining, Planning, Technical Services and Maintenance to deliver the mine plan and support strong operational performance.

We’re looking for an experienced leader who can set clear expectations, build a capable and engaged team, and bring a practical, improvement-focused approach to a fast-paced mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a strong safety culture and ensure drill and blast activities are planned and executed in line with site standards, operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop the drill and blast team, building capability and accountability across multiple levels.
• Deliver drilling and blasting programs in line with the mine plan, production priorities, budget and operational targets.
• Work with Planning, Technical Services, Geology, Survey, Mining and Maintenance to coordinate drill and blast activities and resolve operational issues.
• Oversee blast design, drilling performance, explosives management and quality assurance to support safe, efficient and consistent outcomes.
• Monitor operational data and key performance measures, identify improvement opportunities, and implement initiatives to improve productivity, cost and blast outcomes.
• Manage contractor performance, equipment and resources to support reliable delivery.
• Promote continuous improvement and the adoption of effective technologies, processes and industry practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and developing teams in a mining or other operational environment.
• A genuine people leader who builds trust, sets clear expectations and creates an inclusive, accountable team culture.
• Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees, contractors and stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience supporting team performance, addressing challenges constructively and helping people build their capability.
• A visible commitment to safety, wellbeing and respectful leadership.
• Strong organisation and self-management skills, with the ability to set priorities and guide a team through changing operational demands.
• A collaborative approach and confidence working across Mining, Planning, Technical Services, Maintenance and contractor teams.
• Experience in drill and blast or open-pit mining operations, with the ability to lead safe, effective delivery through the team.
