Water Treatment Operator
Our Opportunity
Location: Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples
Roster: 14D14R ex Perth
Fortescue are currently seeking an experienced Water Treatment Operator to join our Solomon Project team. This role is critical to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of water treatment facilities on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) and Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) wastewater treatment plants.
- Accurately input daily operational data into the EnviroSys data management system.
- Collect and analyse wastewater and potable water samples in compliance with established sampling regimes.
- Ensure adherence to environmental and safety standards across all water treatment processes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated experience managing SBR and MBR wastewater treatment plants.
- Certificate III in Water Industry Treatment (NWP30315) or proven experience operating reverse osmosis treatment plants (desirable).
- Applicants with process operator experience and a willingness to retrain in water treatment will also be considered.
- Strong attention to detail and self-motivation.
- Current HR Driver’s Licence.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, both written and verbal.
