Our Opportunity

Location: Hedland Operations (Port), operating on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people


Roster: 8 days on / 6 days off – FIFO from Perth or residential in Port Hedland

 

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Coordinator to join our Port Maintenance team at Hedland Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering electrical maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of port assets.

Working closely with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams, you will coordinate planned and corrective electrical works, support shutdown execution, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance asset performance and safety outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the safe execution of electrical maintenance activities in line with Fortescue standards
  • Plan and schedule electrical maintenance works to support operational requirements
  • Scope, coordinate, and support electrical shutdown and improvement works
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety legislation, isolation procedures, and statutory requirements
  • Identify and implement improvement initiatives to enhance electrical reliability and safety
  • Coordinate contractors and internal resources to deliver maintenance outcomes
  • Support leadership in driving continuous improvement and capability development

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience coordinating electrical maintenance in an operational environment
  • Electrical Trade qualification (Electrician) or Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety systems, isolations, and statutory compliance
  • Proven ability to coordinate work across multiple disciplines and stakeholders
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Commitment to safety, reliability, and developing high-performing teams
