Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.

 

Roster: 8 Days / 6 Off / 7 Days / 7 Off – FIFO ex Perth

 

Fortescue is seeking a highly capable and safety-driven Fixed Plant Maintenance Electrical Supervisor to join our Hedland Operations Processing Facility (OPF) Electrical Maintenance team.

In this critical leadership role, you will lead a team of electricians responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance of fixed plant electrical systems and associated infrastructure. You will play a key role in maximising plant reliability and performance by driving effective maintenance execution, ensuring statutory compliance, and fostering a high-performing, safety-focused team culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure electrical statutory compliance across all fixed plant operations.
  • Lead, coach and mentor a diverse team of electrical tradespeople, fostering collaboration across OPF and site-based teams.
  • Drive safe systems of work and actively promote Fortescue’s safety-first culture.
  • Develop and implement team capability, succession planning and workforce development initiatives.
  • Set clear performance expectations aligned to operational and organisational objectives.
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise daily maintenance activities for electrical personnel and contractors.
  • Support scheduled maintenance and project work to ensure plant reliability and operational continuity.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, efficiency and cost optimisation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Current Western Australian Electrical Licence.
  • Previous experience as an In-House Electrical Licence Nominee.
  • Schedule 26 (S26) Statutory Supervisor certification.
  • High Voltage (HV) Switching qualifications with demonstrated practical experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of WA electrical standards, statutory requirements and relevant legislation.
  • Proven leadership experience within a fixed plant or mineral processing environment.
  • Experience with computerised maintenance management systems (SAP experience highly regarded).
