Our Opportunity

 

Location: Iron Bridge Concentrate Handling Facility - Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people

 

Roster: 8D6R7N7R FIFO ex Perth 

 

You will lead the Operation and Maintenance team ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and timely operations and maintenance to our equipment and ancillaries to optimise plant operational capacity. This is a position in a forward thinking and values-based organisation with a strong focus on building an inclusive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Safe and effective supervision of a multi-disciplined team of Operators and Maintainers including the coaching, mentoring and development of all
  • Provide visible positive leadership by demonstrating safe behaviours at all times and displaying the Fortescue values, whilst managing the effective utilisation of the plant
  • Manage expectation setting and performance reviews of team members to ensure a successful pathway is built for all
  • Strong understanding on Electrical compliance and logbook management
  • Providing support and input into maintenance planning processes to ensure all scheduled tasks are achievable and allow for safe and efficient production
  • Focus on continuous improvement strategies and implementation to ensure production improvements are delivered 
  • Foster an inclusive, versatile and focused team who take pride in delivering safe, efficient and reliable production

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Electrical Trade Qualification is highly desirable for this role
  • Proven leadership experience with a strong dedication to coaching and people development, the ability to engage and empower large teams, and a deep commitment to safety
  • Significant experience within Fixed Plant operations and maintenance in the mining industry specifically wet plant equipment
  • Computer proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong understanding of efficiency drivers in a large-scale mining operation
  • Knowledge of WA Mine Safety and Inspection Act and Regulation
  • Electrical Nominee appointment or ability to complete
